Can you believe that 2023 is almost over and we are now in the winter holiday season? Me either! Wow this year flew by and the summer fun has come to a close. As we move into 2024, I wanted to pass along a few suggested photography locations along the Outer Banks.

Can you close your eyes and transport yourself to your upcoming summer vacation? All the days you will spend on the beach, the sand in your feet, the stunning sunset while playing in the water. Most of us have all these dreams and memories deep inside our hearts, those moments and feels that will embed into our minds. Can you imagine having tangible memories of your most treasured memories?

My first suggested location for your family, senior, maternity, or portrait session is Kitty Hawk Pier, located at 5353 N Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty Hawk, NC. The pier is only open to Hilton Garden Inn guests and special events, which makes this a great location!

The dunes make for a beautiful background while the sun sets behind them. This photography will bring out the bright, airy and silhouette styles that can be captured along the dune line as the evening draws to a close.

The waterline is a beautiful option as it's about spending a sunset with your family... hugging, running, and dancing. It's watching the sun go down and the sky exploding with color. Clouds are our best friends in this instance, as the sun spreads it's rays across the sky and the clouds turn soft pinks, and blues.

Under the pier offers you a rustic, beachy feel with the darker array of colors throughout the pilings and water. This is a great spot if inclement weather were to approach, it will keep you dry while still capturing those moments with your family and friends.
